Summer Holiday Checklist

A summer holiday is not a right for many people, but it’s more of a privilege as the chance to get away for a few weeks during the hottest times of the year is a real treat for those who can afford it. But after you’ve booked your break, arranged flights, accommodation and taken the time off work, there are a number of smaller tasks that need to be done in order for you to make the most out of your summer holiday this year.
Have Someone Look After Your House
If you have pets, it’s best to get a neighbour or trusted friend to look after them, but if you don’t have pets, it’s a good idea to have someone keep an eye on your house whilst you’re away. They can collect post, any other deliveries and look out for any potentially hazards, such as leaking pipes, so that they don’t become a problem while you’re away. Make sure that this person has your mobile number, the number of your hotel, your room or suite number if possible and the dates you will be away for. That way they will know exactly when you will be coming back and can prepare for your arrival.
